Busiest of times
We just returned from a short trip to Boulder. Quinn is sleeping in Ethan's lap as he watches a review of the science of this year. It's become almost impossible to post (or update our front page...). Quinn has changed so much. She's now rolling over on a regular basis. More back to front than vise versa. The newest thing she just started is a high pitch squeek type chatting. It's a very strange sound, but it's amuzes her to do it. We have lots of pictures and moments to share, but I fear they're getting lost in the holidays and our big move. I promise to post some great pictures when we finally get a chance!

Website Will Be Down
All this time we've been hosting these websites out of our back room. Not on our computer, just through our DSL connection. In preporation for our move Brian will be moving the host computer to a new location. The server will be down for a day and you won't be able to access the websites. But it should be up and running again by Monday.

4 month checkup
I think we're both sad to leave the pediatrician. It was lucky to land such a good one.
We both survived this months vaccinations. 4 whole shots! ouch! I had to turn my head and close my eyes. We picked up some info on feeding solid foods and talked about sleep training. The doctor was appalled that she was keeping us up until 2am. And recommended an 8am to 8pm sleep session. I don't know if I have the energy to do it, but I know it has to be done.
New Stats:
Height: 25 1/2 in
Weight: 15lbs
The doctor commented on how well she was doing and that she was ahead for her age. But we knew what a smart girl she was anyway...

Working on update
I wanted to post something for Quinn who is now 4months old. But we've all been sick. I've resorted to using these in order to amuze Quinn until our energy returns:
WARNING: they WILL get stuck in your head...

I'll post an update and some pictures soon!

Cold
Pthhh! I have a cold this week. I'm doing my best to keep Quinn happy when all I want to do is sleep. Ethan has been the best. He came home early and took care of her the last two days. Apparently she kept him up until 2am last night.
Canadians get it right!
Canadians have decided to change the definition of what a family is. They decided to base it upon function and not form:
Verry cool!

What is a family?
The Vanier Institute of the Family takes a broad view of families. It defines a family as any combination of two or more people who are bound together over time by ties of mutual consent, birth and/or adoption or placement and who, together, assume responsibilities for combinations of some of the following:
Physical maintenance and care of group members
Addition of new members through procreation or adoption
Socialization of children
Social control of members
Production, consumption, distribution of goods and services, and
Affective nurturance -- love.
